4. Intellectual Property
4.1 App Content
All original content in Mutaba — including design, icons, interface, code, and branding — is the intellectual property of Mutaba and is protected by applicable copyright laws.
4.2 Quran Text
Quranic text, transliteration, translation, tafsir, word-by-word data, scripts, fonts, and audio may be sourced from public Islamic APIs, Quran data providers, font providers, and recitation hosts. We present this content for educational and spiritual purposes, while respecting the rights and terms of the respective source providers.
4.3 Third-Party Content
Islamic articles, doa collections, tafsir, recitation audio, Haramain recordings, and other content sourced from third-party providers remain the intellectual property of their respective authors, publishers, or hosting services. If you believe content is misattributed or should not appear in Mutaba, please contact us.
4.4 User-Generated Content
Any content you create within the App (personal notes, custom ibadah items, Ramadan checklist items, tasbih configurations, and similar local entries) remains your property and is stored locally on your device unless you choose to share it using your device's share tools.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Specifically, we do not warrant that:
- Prayer times are 100% accurate for all locations at all times. Times are calculated via third-party APIs (AlAdhan) and depend on your device's GPS accuracy and internet connectivity.
- Qibla direction is perfectly precise. Accuracy depends on your device's compass sensor calibration.
- Hijri calendar dates match all local sightings. The App uses astronomical calculation methods which may differ from moon-sighting committees in your region.
- Quran, tafsir, translation, transliteration, doa, article, and audio metadata will be complete, error-free, or always available. Content may depend on third-party sources and network access.
- Zakat calculations are definitive religious rulings. The calculator is a reference tool — please consult a qualified Islamic scholar for exact zakat obligations.
- Notifications will be delivered at the exact intended time. Local scheduling, battery settings, permissions, operating system limits, network conditions, and push providers can affect delivery.
- Streamed audio, downloadable content, release notes, and in-app announcements will always be available or uninterrupted.
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses.
Important: Mutaba is a supplementary tool for your Islamic practice, not a replacement for guidance from qualified Islamic scholars (ulama).
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mutaba and its developers shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
- Any loss of data stored on your device, including ibadah tracking records, Quran progress, bookmarks, notes, notification history, Ramadan data, tasbih history, or preferences.
- Inaccuracies in prayer times, Qibla direction, or Hijri calendar conversion.
- Actions taken based on zakat calculations provided by the App.
- Actions taken based on Islamic content, articles, tafsir, translations, doa references, notifications, or reminders shown in the App.
- Availability, accuracy, or behavior of third-party APIs, push providers, app stores, audio hosts, or content providers.
- Any interruption or cessation of the App's services.
